Sunset Auto Group was proud to sponsor the Academy at Glengary's 8th Annual "LIVE from the Academy" Telethon, held on August 13. In support of this meaningful event, Sunset Auto Group proudly donated $35,000 to help further the Academy's mission.The Academy at Glengary is a vibrant working community where opportunities for skill development, friendship, wellness, and employment empower members to pursue their dreams and goals."LIVE from the Academy" is an annual livestreamed fundraising and awareness event created, produced, and hosted by members and staff of the Academy at Glengary and the Academy at Bradenton. The telethon highlights the Academy's mental health recovery model while sharing stories of hope, resilience, and achievement. Most importantly, the event raises vital funds and awareness to support adults living with mental health challenges.Sunset Auto Group is honored to support the Academy and its continued efforts to create opportunities, build community, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve..

On November 19, 2025, Sunset Auto Group was proud to present a donation of $26,618 to All Faiths Food Bank, the largest hunger relief organization in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. Established in 1989, All Faiths Food Bank was created through a collaboration of local organizations dedicated to feeding those in need and has since grown into a certified member of the Feeding America network. Sunset Auto Group is honored to support their ongoing mission to provide nourishment, support, and hope to families throughout our community.

On November 17, 2025, Sunset Auto Group was honored to present a $15,000 donation to Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, supporting their mission to provide meals, care, and essential programs for individuals and families across our community. We sincerely thank Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee for their dedication to helping people live independently and thrive in our community.

The Coalition's unwavering commitment to protecting and empowering vulnerable children and families in surrounding communities is truly commendable. On October 23rd, 2024, Sunset Auto Group was proud to present a $10,000 check to the Sheriff's Activity League of Sarasota County! The League plays a vital role in providing positive opportunities and mentorship to local youth, helping to build stronger communities. On October 23rd, 2024, Sunset Auto Group was honored to present a $5,000 check to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Charitable Foundation! The Foundation provides crucial support to individual employees of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office who are facing extraordinary personal or family needs. On September 24th, 2024, Sunset Auto Group was proud to present a $30,000 check to the Education Foundation of Sarasota County! The Education Foundation of Sarasota County plays a vital role in enhancing the potential of students, promoting excellence in teaching, and inspiring innovation. On September 16th, 2024 Sunset Auto Group made a $15,000 donation in support of The Florida Centers "The Wonder Gala". The Wonder Gala honors the remarkable journey of the children and families supported by The Florida Center. From all of us here at Sunset Auto Group, thank you for all that you do! 

On August 14, 2024 Sunset Auto Group proudly made a $2,500 donation to Selah Freedom. We are proudly supporting Selah Freedom, the largest anti sex-trafficking organization in Florida. Selah Freedom is based in downtown Sarasota and has been serving local survivors of this heinous and growing crime since 2012. Selah Freedom is actively educating the community and our children how to stay safe from the dangers of trafficking. 

On August 1st, 2024 Sunset Auto Group partnered with the Academy at Bradenton to make a generous donation of $5,000 to the American Heart Association supporting the Heart Walk. The American Heart Association is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that works to fight heart diseases and strokes.

;We're thrilled to announce another opportunity to give back to our wonderful community! This time, we've made a $10,000 donation to Easterseals of Southwest Florida. Our Executive Director, Andrea Jackson, and CFO, Melissa Crowley, proudly presented the check to Kent Jimison. We're honored to support such a fantastic cause at the 29th Annual Meadows Cup. It's a privilege to contribute to the incredible work Easterseals does in our community!

Gratitude in action! We're honored to stand with My Hometown Fest in supporting Sertoma of Greater Sarasota. Together, we work to amplify voices and transform the lives of children and adults facing speech, language, and hearing challenges. 

Sunset Auto Group continues to stay connected through community! On November 21st, 2023 Sunset Auto presented Senior Friendship Centers with a $10,000 donation. Senior Friendship Centers is a non-profit organization that offers support to local senior citizens in need. 

In the spirit of giving, Sunset Automotive Group made a $50,000 donation to the Academy at Glengary on November 21st, 2023. The Academy at Glengary is a local 501 (c) 3, not for profit organization which provides Mental Health Recovery to those in need.

On August 15th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group proudly made a $10,000 donation to Child Protection Centers. CPC is a local 501(c)3 Non Profit organization that assists with the prevention, intervention & treatment of child abuse. We applaud all that you do to keep children safe! 

On August 7th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group donated $30,000 to the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation! Through this donation Sunset Auto Group was able to assist Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation with multitude of important initiatives at SMH, including critical equipment for Cardiac Services and the Comprehensive Stroke Center, advanced medical equipment for patients in the NICU, and continuing staff education! Thank you for all that you do to keep our community safe and healthy! 

Sunset Auto Group continues to stay connected through community! On April 13th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group made a $5,000 donation to Folds of Honor. Folds of Honor is a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization that provides scholarships to the family of Americas fallen or disabled military. Thank you for everything that you do! 

In the spirit of giving, Sunset Automotive Group made a $50,000 donation to the Academy at Glengary on November 21st, 2023. The Academy at Glengary is a local 501 (c) 3, not for profit organization which provides Mental Health Recovery to those in need. 

On April 6th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group made a $15,000 donation to Centerstone in support of all they do for our community. Centerstone is a local 501(c)3 Non Profit that specializes in mental health and substance use disorder treatments for people of all ages! 

On March 29th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group proudly presented a $10,000 check donation to the Senior Friendship Centers! For 50 years, Senior Friendship Centers has been a big advocate for the elderly around the community and provides many vital services to local senior citizens, such as: crisis support, maintaining independence, and empowering them to live an active lifestyle. We support Senior Friendship Centers mission within our community

 

On February 22nd, 2023 Sunset Auto Group presented The Florida Center for Early Childhood with a $10,000 donation. The Florida Center provides developmental therapies, mental health counseling, and the Starfish Academy preschool in Sarasota and North Port. Continuing to stay Connected Through Community! On Wednesday, February 15th General Manager of Sunset Kia of Sarasota, Kevin Simmons, presented Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota with a $10,000 donation. Sertoma Club is a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds to help area children and adults who face speech, language and hearing challenges. 

 

On February 8th, 2023 Sunset Auto Group presented a $10,000 check to the team at Safe Children Coalition. SCC assists local families and children in need through adoptions, foster care, protective supervision, and voluntary family services. From all of us at Sunset Auto, thank you for everything you do! 

 

What a way to start the new year! On January 18th, 2023 Executive Director, Andrea Jackson (middle), presented Laurel Lynch (left) and Char Young (right) of HOPE Family Services at the site of their upcoming Children Counseling Center with a $20,000 donation. HOPE's primary purpose is to provide services to survivors of domestic violence and help them stay safe, gain strength, and evaluate their options. Continuing to Stay Connected Through Community! On December 20th, 2022 General Manager, Mike Freeman of Sunset Chevy/Buick/GMC and Sales Manager, Webb Jackson, presented Scott Eller and the team at Community Supported and Assisted Living with a $10,000 donation. Community Assisted and Supported Living (CASL), is a 501 (c) 3, not for profit organization which provides affordable housing and other needed services to adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse problems and co-occurring disorders, as well as to wounded veterans and the homeless.

 

In the spirit of giving, we are proud to present Sarasota Crew with a $15,000 donation on December 7th, 2022. Sarasota Crew is a local Rowing Club that utilizes competitive rowing to promote a strong character, positive self-concept, as well as many other qualities for all youth and adults in Sarasota County and its surrounding communities. 

 

Continuing to stay Connected Through Community! Our General Manager of Sunset Cadillac of Venice and Sunset Kia of Venice, Jeff Kaminske (middle) presented Todd Miller, Director (left) and Reed Stoner, Ambassador (right) of Community Assistance Ministry with a $2,000 donation to help local families in need. Sunset Cadillac of Venice, as well as Sunset Kia of Venice also hosted a canned food drive to assist CAM in their efforts to help feed families in the area. 

 

We are thrilled to be a sponsor of the 12th annual Superhero 5k race and Kids Fun Run held by Bridge A Life on February 11th, 2023. Bridge A Life is a local 501 (c) 3, not for profit organization that provides faith based hope for children with relational trauma through awareness and family support. 

 

Sunset Auto Group was a sponsor for the 2022 Tee It Up for a Cause Golf Tournament held on October 24th, 2022 by the Sarasota South Side Rotary Club. Proceeds from the event went towards better helping serve the surrounding communities in need! 

 

Sunset Auto Group was a proud sponsor of the Selah Freedom "Light the Path" event that took place on October 20th, 2022. Selah Freedom is a faith-based non profit organization with a mission to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited through five strong programs: Awareness, Prevention, Outreach, Residential, and Organizational Consulting.

It was a great day to be on the course to raise money for such a great cause! We are honored to again be the Silver Sponsor for the 2022 Meadows Cup held by Easterseals Southwest Florida on April 24th, 2022. Easterseals is a non profit organization that offers the highest quality of care to children, youth, and adults with disabilities so that they can enjoy access, opportunities, and increased life choices! 
 
What a way to spend a beautiful day! Sunset Auto Group recently sponsored the Educational Outreach Gardens "Garden Party". Educational Outreach Gardens hosted this event to develop the grounds around the Twin Lakes Park (TLP) Extension office into a premier horticultural education garden. This multifaceted project includes an Educational Greenhouse, Americans with Disabilities Act compliant Sensory Garden, outdoor classrooms, raised beds for edibles, and Florida-Friendly demonstration gardens!

What a great cause. Sunset Auto Group will be the Tribute Presenting Sponsor for the Centerstone Life;Story 5k/10k behing held on September 25th, 2021. Centerstone is a nonprofit health system providing mental health and substance use disorder treatments to those in need!

In our mission to stay connected through community, we recently donated $5000 to the Suncoast Blood Bank to assist in purchasing a new blood mobile. To close out 2017, we were more than honored to present Tidewell Hospice with a $10,000 donation in honor of our longtime employee, Shelly Woolf, who we lost this past year. Shelly will forever be remembered and was the Office Manager at our Sunset Kia Sarasota location. The Loveland Center's mission is to help adults with developmental disabilities live their lives to the fullest. Our "student-first" philosophy provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunities to learn new skills, have a diverse set of life experiences, and grow to meet their individual goals.

Once again, we were honored to celebrate the spirit of being connected through community and presented Brandi's Wish Foundation with a $5,000 donation on November 3, 2017! The mission of Brandi's Wish is to raise awareness through education and offer preventive solutions to teens and their families regarding the dangers of prescription drug misuse and abuse.
