Though it does share the traditional body-on-frame pickup construction and a styling theme, its smaller size, shorter wheelbase, and lighter overall weight give it a distinct personality of its own. It's easier to wield down tight, tree-lined trails and traffic-choked urban areas, and the thrust of its 405-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine is but a tap of the accelerator away. Traversing narrow trails is much easier with the Ranger Raptor than it is with the larger F-150 Raptor due to the mid-sizer's narrower footprint.
