The 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-class is a rich amalgam of refinement, comfort, and innovation, one of the best examples of the luxury car breed. It's very much the midsize interpretation of the stately and posh S-Class, which is saying a lot, with a corresponding increase in agility and maneuverability. Compared to the BMW 5 series and Audi A6, the E-Class is more luxurious and opulent inside, with a handsomely rendered infotainment system delivering all of the newest tech features. The E450 gets a similar hybrid setup for its turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, which brings the total to 375 horsepower. The hybrid systems are said to reduce turbo lag and smooth the operation of the auto start/stop system. In our test of the new E-class, we found both powertrains deliver their oomph smoothly and quietly. The four-cylinder E350 is plenty quick, but the E450 is even quicker and its inline-six is a particularly sweet-sounding and potent engine. When we tested the new E-class at our test track, the four-cylinder E350 4Matic got to 60 mph in a swift 5.8 seconds. The six-cylinder E450 was significantly quicker, with a 4.4-second sprint to 60 mph. Unsurprisingly, the E-class's cabin is focused on comfort and upscale accommodations. Passenger space is generous, the rear seat is particularly roomy. The design is high-end and nicely complements the car's handsome exterior styling. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers unparalleled comfort and luxury. It boasts a very smooth ride and an elegant, well-built cabin. Mercedes' latest tech features are all here too. Whichever engine you choose, shifts from the nine-speed automatic are nearly imperceptible. Comfort is undoubtedly the strength of the E-Class. Like the ride, the seats are definitely tailored toward a luxury experience. Soft and supportive, they are comfortable for hours behind the wheel. We also loved our test car's optional Burmester 4D surround-sound system. The E-Class has X factor to spare a fact will become readily apparent after just minutes behind the wheel.
